FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Yes, our prices are per person unless otherwise stated (5% Goods and Services tax and fuel surcharge is extra). We also offer pricing for private tours and extended flight time on select, private tours.
Please note that weight restrictions apply.
What do “weight restrictions” mean?
We ask all customers to please provide ACCURATE passenger weights. Our flight operations team uses these weights to determine aircraft type and maximum fuel load. Inaccurate reporting of weights may result in a cancellation of the flight due to aircraft availability and/or flight schedule.
Maximum single seat capacity is 300lbs.
Please note that helicopter weight limits can vary based on seasonal weather and temperatures. Flights may have to be rescheduled or split into separate flights. Additional charges will apply.
SKY Helicopters reserves the right to cancel any booking on or before the date of the booking at their discretion for any reason, including but not limited to, poor weather, maintenance requirements, and lack of aircraft availability.
What if the weather is bad?
British Columbia’s West Coast offers a variety of weather conditions, each with its own unique beauty. If we cannot fly due to safety considerations, we will reschedule or cancel your flight at no cost to you.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations made up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled flight time will be offered an opportunity to reschedule the flight at no charge.
Cancellations made up to 24-48 prior to the scheduled flight time will be charged the deposit. We would be pleased to apply the deposit as a credit towards a future seat(s) purchase.
Cancellations made 24 hours or less prior to scheduled flight departure will be charged 100% of seat purchase(s).
Customers who do not show up for the scheduled flight will be charged the full seat purchase(s) cost.
Late arrivals will be addressed on a case-by-case basis depending on aircraft availability; however, there is a chance that the flight won’t be able to take place due to previously scheduled flights. In this case, 100% of total seat purchase(s) will be charged.
What age must children be to fly?
All passengers must occupy a seat with seatbelt on and wear provided Bose aviation headphones. Our minimum passenger is 2 years old.
What should I bring?
For your comfort, we recommend close-toed footwear (especially for backcountry landings), light jacket, sunglasses, cap, sunblock, and of course, a camera for all the amazing views! For tours taking place in the winter and depart for the backcountry, we ask that you bring proper winter clothing and footwear; this includes winter jackets, gloves & toques and warm, waterproof footwear.
I received a gift certificate but I don’t know the expiry. How long do they last for?
Experience gift certificates (ie, for a specific tour) are honoured for one (1) year from the date of purchase or date provided. If you purchased a monetary value card, there is no expiration date.
